The Bos has gone completely crazy!!!!! They have taken a beautiful farm now and are turning it into a horrible site already and in the middle of homes on a major highway and now they want the rest of the land, we are becoming a city of buildings in the middle of our county that won't benefit any of the peoples! All the tax breaks they are offering affect our taxes being raised to pay for them and soon we won't have any country to live in!! Obviously they could care less what the people of Louisa want and won't listen to any reason. No one is running against them this voting period and they are destroying our county with all these big campus buildings. What happens to all the dreams of the people that want to live n the country, we are being sold out for the good of a few!!! Our traffic on 522 now is bumper to bumper all day long from the lake and The power plant, we can hardly pull out of our road now without having to wait for all the traffic to clear, then in the summer it is worse for all the boats, campers, and people going to the lake for entertainment! What are they going to approve next that we all have to pay for and put up with????? WAKE UP PEOPLE OF LOUISA!!!!!
It's a little late but you might still be able to stop it. We stopped three solar projects in Orange County but it takes WORK and dedication from the people. Most only see $$$ and think it's wonderful.
Many of the DCs now get an exemption that allows them to pay almost NO personal property... opps. There goes much of the money to the county coffers.
Louisa would have been far better off all those years ago when North Anna proposed a third tower but NOOOO. The county allowed the enviroweenies to control the narrative. I would almost bet that all those objecting to the third tower own a house on the lake while having NO CLUE where the lake came from.
Pretty soon Louisa won't be fit to live in. The county will be just one ugly industrial park. 😕
The story about the lake is sad. Due to some storm the lake filled up way quicker than planned, and because of that there are even buildings like a church and a school that are under water now. Who knows what else. And I heard recent stories about that lake such as water being warmer than it ought to be or the recent pollution of the lake, or certain parts of it.
We don't need a building that big, unless it provides cheap affordable housing for its residents to live in which I doubt the government would really want to do.
It was a solar farm or a data center? Shameful. And so close to the schools. One supervisor thinks that sine a small portion of his district is on t lake, he should have more power to say what happens and another that is now crying for keeping Louisa rural. And one that never responds to their constituents questions. I sure hope they don't have buyers remorse as Manassas City did. https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/realestate/data-center-s-bank-tenant-causes-lower-revenue-for-manassas/ar-AA1Eloks
Every one of these data centers is an absolute manmade blight. The "revenue" they generate only benefits the super-rich who want them built in the first place, and they do nothing but drain the local rural areas of water, wildlife, and any ability to enjoy the area for what it naturally is...no matter how much Amazon tries to greenwash their plans. Their execs and lawyers will enjoy their various luxury homes in areas that have wisely avoided development, while the people of Louisa will have to live with the noise and light pollution of yet another data center (which WILL be ongoing day and night).
I sincerely hope that people will turn out to the meeting tomorrow in opposition to this proposed destruction of the County's precious natural resources, which if allowed will permanently alter the quality of life for Louisa residents for the worse.

I hate to say this but undamming the lake and building a power plant somewhere else would not be a bad idea because I think that power plant ultimately has a lot to do with louisa developing the way it is. There have been stories of lake Anna being polluted or being warmer than it ought to be. And the developments...... shouldn't there be a limit? There are now homes where there once was woods where I walked. And the more woods lost, the less homes for animals. For example, where are all the deer going to go once all their homes in the woods are taken? Sometimes I just like to walk in the woods and think what Louisa was like before the colonists took over, long before we had "progress" and these developments? I am all for jobs and things to do for the people of Louisa, but I don't think Amazon is the best thing for Louisa. If something has to be developed, let it be a bowling alley or a community center or maybe a theme park to give our people a place to just hang out and stay out of trouble....too many "places of businesses" popping up that take a certain type of person to work them and too much of a reason for people wanting to get jobs out of Louisa and find a place to hang out outside of Louisa. Enough already.

Do the citizens of Louisa realize that this one building will be BIGGER than the Pentagon (7.2M DC vs. 6.6M sqft in the Pentagon)?

Well, this should really slow down the number of people wanting to move to Louisa County.
